Traverse a pocket dimension inside a Necromancer's dark spellbook. Fight to retain your sanity against the creatures of the grimoire while you recover your memories and prepare for the showdown with your arch-nemesis, the wizard who trapped you in the grimoire. Using beautifully etched, unique 2D creatures in a 3D environment, explore the dark world of the grimoire while your sanity slowly seeps away. 

We are passionate about bringing this project to life and would love to hear your feedback and suggestions on this early build.

We are actively working to add more features, items, and monsters and will be pushing frequent updates.

The development build is updated frequently (sometimes several times a day). Try it out if you don't mind a bit of bugginess while we try things out.

The 'release' build will be updated at least once per week and is a more stable representation of the previous week's progress.

  • The camera is still a bit janky, but it will at least try NOT to clip through walls

  • Some missing colliders - If you died randomly, you may have "fallen" to your death

I dig the 2D/3D interactive artstyle. Obviously since this is a very early build, there wasn't much to do. I was only able to battle 3 enemies, explore 3 (or so) rooms with nowhere left to go, and pick up 4 items (3 weapons and 1 healing item). With that being said, I cannot yet speak to the balance between protag/enemy health, attack, skills, etc, nor the dungeon crawling aspect. The controls also takes a little getting used to. I do however feel a level of passion is put into this and have high hopes for the team.

Thank you for the detailed feedback, we really appreciate it. We’ve got a long way to go as far as balance is concerned, much of the work is making sure items work. Some abilities also are supposed to have an effect over time, which has not been implemented. It seems the path isn’t always clear, but once you’ve activated the lever behind the rat, the gate at the entrance opens and you can proceed to two additional levels. Please keep playing and giving us feedback, it genuinely helps us make the best game possible! ☺️
